Two weeks from today I'll be on the road behind the wheel of my dad's Ford Expedition. I'll have mom riding shotgun, my daughter in the seat behind me, and six (yes, six!) cats in cages in the back - three are mine, three belong to my parents. My little Ford Escape will be towed behind the moving truck. Dad's driving that big old beast. I'm not interested in manhandling that much metal at 60mph.
Two weeks from today, I'll be embarking on a 10-hours-a-day-for-five-days journey that will take me from the home I've known since 1992 - and the only home my daughter has ever known - back to the town I grew up in. I'll drop off my parents there, and I'll continue driving another three days to a town I've never been to, where I know no one, to start a new life. I don't even know what motel I'm staying in and haven't gotten prequalified to buy a house. All is up in the air.
Two weeks from today, I'll be terrified and thrilled and happy and a little sick to my stomach.
Two weeks from today, my life will change forever - and I know, no matter how stressful or scary it may be, that I'll be richer for the experience. It's a leap of faith, but until we jump off that cliff, we don't realize that we can truly fly...

Michi,
Enjoy your exciting adventure!
Thank you, Lillie. I'm sure I will - even though it's a bit scary, too. :o)
