Wow, That's Much Better!

I just went through my list of bookmarked content sites that I write for, and purged a bunch of them.

Some are sites I've worked for sporadically. Some are sites I've signed up for but never written for. Others are sites I just plain don't like.

They all have one thing in common, though - terribly low pay for what I'm asked to do.

I realize I have to make money and all so I can pay the bills, but a penny a word? Really? I'm worth more than that, people! I have more skills than that, and I have more experience than that.

I'd be better off writing for the few content sites I work with that actually pay reasonable rates for the work, and then spending the time I would've used writing for those other sites to look for work, market my skills to get more private clients, and submit queries for print work - not to mention work on my books so I can get some more things to my agent.

Sounds like a good plan to me.
