My Blog and Website Have Merged

Several people lately have been talking about the importance of branding. I agree with them. People need to know who you are, if you're going to make any kind of name for yourself as a writer - especially with so many people writing blogs and creating online content today.

I had a Website, and I had a blog. You could get to one from the other, technically, but they weren't really connected. It seemed confusing, and it was annoying to me, as well. My Web site was just sitting there, static, and my blog was the place starting to build traffic. Because of that, a lot of the information on my Web site was being overlooked or ignored - and understandably so.

Now, my blog is set up to be my Website, but it's not under the blogspot name. (thank you, Blogger 'custom domain' option!) I think it works better, and I'm hoping that readers and clients (and potential clients) will like it better, too. It's still a bit of a work in progress, but it's functional, and all the basics are there.

Plus, it's saving me a lot of $$ each year because I'm not paying for hosting on a Web site. Awesome.

I love it when a plan comes together!
